The Coalition for Home Equity Partnership Welcomes New President Cliff Andrews

MANASSAS, VA – The Coalition for Home Equity Partnership (CHEP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Cliff Andrews as its new president. A seasoned government affairs and association leader, Andrews brings more than two decades of experience in public policy, financial services advocacy, and nonprofit management to the coalition’s growing work in advancing shared equity products (SEPs). His experience in policy advocacy and housing finance will strengthen CHEP’s efforts to promote policies that protect homeowners and support the development of flexible home financing tools.

CHEP is a collective of financial services companies dedicated to improving homeowners’ financial lives by providing innovative and trusted home financing solutions. SEPs — sometimes referred to as home equity agreements or home equity investments — allow homeowners to access the wealth in their homes without taking on additional monthly debt. Andrews’ leadership comes at a time when homeowners across the country face unprecedented financial challenges and opportunities.

“Since CHEP’s launch about six months ago, our coalition has focused on educating policymakers at the federal and state levels on the many advantages SEPs offer homeowners. As we look to grow our coalition with new originators and business partners that provide the products and services that enable us to serve our customers, Cliff will play an integral role in leading our organization,” said Jim Riccitelli, CEO of Unlock, a founding member of CHEP. “Cliff’s experience in forming and leading trade coalitions and associations will be crucial to CHEP’s ongoing efforts to educate policymakers about our new products and to expand financial opportunity and flexibility for homeowners across the country.”

Andrews currently serves as chief executive of a national 501(c)(6) financial services trade association. In that role, he leads strategic planning, policy engagement, and coalition efforts. He is also the founder and principal of CapCity Advocates, LLC, a Washington-based consulting firm that advises nonprofit trade associations on federal advocacy, membership engagement, and regulatory strategy across a range of financial services issues.

“I am honored to join CHEP as president,” said Andrews. “I look forward to working with our members and our partners to build on this strong foundation, scale the coalition’s impact, and expand opportunities for homeowners in today’s market.”

CHEP remains committed to working with policymakers, industry partners, and consumer advocates to ensure SEPs are transparent and beneficial to all stakeholders.
