Your application will be processed, and, on approval, an invoice will be issued for the initial dues payment. Membership will only become active once full payment is received, which must be provided via bank transfer (details on invoice).
Membership dues, contributions, or gifts to CHEP are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. However, they may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses subject to restrictions imposed as a result of lobbying activities. CHEP estimates that the portion of your 2025 dues allocable to non-deductible lobbying expenditures is seventy percent (70%).
Please note that CHEP reserves the right to decline a membership application and is not obliged to provide any rationale for that decision. In such an event, CHEP will keep that decision entirely confidential. A declined applicant may appeal in writing to CHEP’s Board of Directors. CHEP reserves the right to request references as appropriate.
